The Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney, Australia, are the largest of three major botanical gardens open to the public in Sydney and are free to access and open every day of the year. Flying-foxes, otherwise known as fruit bats, are mammals, and are members of the Pteropodidae family. They have the largest body size of all bats. The Grey-headed Flying-fox is the largest member of the family. Most flying-foxes at the Royal Botanic Gardens are Grey-headed Flying-foxes (Pteropus poliocephalus).
