Tien Hau Temple in San Francisco's Chinatown is located at 125 Waverly Place on the 4th floor. Tien Hau Temple was built first in 1852 by the Chinese to demonstrate their gratitude to Tien Hau for safe passage to the U.S. from China. It claims to be the oldest of the Chinese temples in the United States. Tien Hau is the Goddess of Heaven and Goddess of the Sea.
