The Cascade Brewing Barrel House in the Southeast neighborhood of Portland, Oregon specializes in barrel-aged sour beers. Pictured here is a line-up of tasters. At $2 per 2 oz., this is a great way to sample the diverse offerings of Northwest traditional, hand-crafted and barrel-aged sour beers. From left to right: "Nightfall" (blackberry sour); "Sang Rouge" (NW style sour red); "Spring Gose" (traditional german salted wheat beer flavored with sea salt, two culinary lavenders, chamomile and lemon peel; "Kriek" (one of the oldest styles of sour fruit beers containing bing and sour pie cherries); and "Beck Berry" ( another cherry beer)
